I have apparently been reacting to the wax coating on apples, etc. (I
react to all grains, including rice, corn, millet, etc. so it may not be
gluten.)
Does anyone know what's in the wax coating added to some fruits and
vegetables, or where to ask?
I have been removing it with "Healthy Harvest" fruit and vegetable rinse
(Healthy Harvest Inc., PO Box 861, Maidson, CT 06443; (203) 245-2033)
purchased at Wellsprings Grocery (Wholefoods is the parent company). This
product seems to work OK, but is not particularly inexpensive. Does
anyone know a more inexpensive method of removing the wax? (Preferably
without any loss of nutrients!)
Has anyone else been reacting to wax coatings?
