Regarding your question of what can you take when you have a gluten
reaction: I take two 250 mcg capsules of selenium, and it stops the
reaction completely for me. I have to take them as soon as I know that
I've eaten gluten, usually within 1 hour of eating the offending
substance. I take "Yeast Free Selenium - Sodium Selenite" from Twinlab.
They can be found at all health food stores. I have to take 2 capsules,
1 250 capsule doesn't do it.
My kinesiologist told me about this. It stops the diahrea, reduces
swelling, prevents headache, stops gas.
I only take these as an emergency fix - if I take it regularly my hair
starts to really shed. Let me know if these work for you.
