Julie Herring of Bettendorf, Iowa asked how a newly diagnosed celiac in our
region can get help with diet information. This list is an excellent source,
but we also have an active Eastern Iowa chapter of CSA/USA, which meets
several times a year. Our president is Betty Bast, telephone 319-352-4740.
She maintains a list of people in various locales who are available to help
those who are newly diagnosed with celiac disease. When I'm at home in Iowa
City, I'm a contact person in that area.

Dr. Joseph Murray, whom many of you know as a frequent contributor to this
list, is a regular guest at Iowa CSA meetings. He and his colleagues at the
University of Iowa Celiac Disease Clinic are a wonderful resource for us.
