Just returned from Tops grocery store where I spent hours reading labels.
I came home with three Goya products:
Rice Majarete pudding - ingredients: sugar, rice flour salt, Malto
dextrin, and cinnamon.
Trembleque - cocoonut flavored pudding: ingredients: sugar, cornstarch,
salt, and artificial coconut flavor.
Majarete - corn pudding: Sugar, cornstarch, corn meal, salt, calcium
caragheen, artificial flavor, color including F.C.& C. yellow 5
I don't know about malto dextrin, artificial coconut, artificial flavor,
nor colors. Any advice from you all?
Also purchased from Al-Rabih something called instant Mouhallabieh. It is
also a pudding, and the ingredients are: sugar, rice, vanilla. This is a
product from Lebanon The producer recommends a nut garnish.
Haven't tried any of these yet, but will do so. I also use tapioca flour
for a raspberry pudding that is delicious, but I don't have the ingredient
list quite worked out. More later.
