My 26 year old son was diagnosed with IgA defiency 2 years after he was
diagnosed with sprue. Everything the person fromthe blood bank has said it
true. Russ wears an official Medic Alert medal on a chain around his neck
(too macho for a bracelet) When I say official, there are too many
bracelets that you can have engraved at local stores but you want one that
is registered and has an 800 # on it for medics etc. to be able to call.In
this way they will get the proper information to treat your daughter. And
yes, a lot of doctors are not aware of the seriousness of this deficiency.
