I have been following this mailing list for a few weeks now and
there are, of course, a lot of references to folks experiencing
symptoms of CD. Also, there are references to folks with CD
who accidentally allow some gluten into their diet and suffer a
reaction to it. I haven't seen, though, a list of the typical
symptoms of CD or of the nature of the reaction to gluten. I
am aware of the flattening of the villi and potential for an
increased risk of cancer if that is not treated, but obviously
this is not something that I can see to indicate whether or not
I have CD. I intend to talk with my GI about getting a
diagnosis, but I am interested in what outward symptoms one
experiences with CD.

I have recently had a diagnosis of dermatitis herpetiformes
and, from reading this list, am aware of its connection to CD.
As far as I know, I do not have any of the symptoms of CD but
as noted above, I am not exactly sure what the outward symptoms
are. If I am now asymptomatic but do in fact have CD, what
symptoms might I expect to see if it becomes symptomatic?

Thanks for your input on this for me.

Best regards,

Paul
