This is interesting because both my mother and her youngest sister had
similar-sounding problems.  One was told to take antibiotics and artificial
tears, the other was told to take antihistamines.  Though both cleared up,
more or less, I think they both tend to have chronic problems (and they each
swear by their own doctor's advice!).  Neither one is known to be celiac,
but I wonder about the connection there, too, since I am very definitely
gluten intolerant.
