I also had atypical symptoms.  I was first seen due to numbness and
pain, only on my left side, in my face arm and leg.  I was found to
have a severe b-12 deficiency and after 4 mos. it was determind by
biopsy that I had celiac disease.
In the five years before this diagnosis I had trouble with
ocassional numbness, vertigo, and severe fatigue.  I also had
stomach distension, pain, and ocassional diahrea, but thought this
was due to 2 previous operations for intestinal blockages caused from
previous surgical adhesions.  After being on the g f diet, taking
weekly shots of b-12 ,and metronidazole for bacterial overgrowth I
feel much better.  Dianne
