field approach - what are the similarities and differences in thinking,
intervention, relationship??

Hi Steve,
Regarding your question, "What does this mean in practice -- especially a
Gestalt therapist using a field approach?
I have just completed a book review for the British Gestalt Journal of
Jennifer Mackewn's new book, Developing Gestalt Counselling: A Field
Theoretical and Relational Model of Contemporary Gestalt Counselling and
Psychotherapy (1997, Sage Publ.) in which she spells out a lot of excellent
practical information on using the field approach -- as indicated in the
book's subtitle. I highly recommend it.
