Hi Harry,

Your computer would probably use very little power if you left it on all day.  When a computer goes into sleep mode, it shuts down functions which would normally be using power.  For example your hard drive or solid state hard drive wouldn't be active.  Many people never turn off their computers.  It's useful to keep a computer on so you can do a cloud backup during the night.  Businesses do this all the time.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.  Just leave the computer on and enjoy the convenience of never having to worry about anything.
