MMMMM, I dont think so. You could argue from an EvoDevo point of view I guess by asserting that many people may say what you just said. But that would only be based on the fact that evolution has come with a brain that can learn. Whether it is the truth or not is totally beside the point. So who could gainsay?
Locus of engagement. Every creature has that. No need for a self. Intuited subject relates to objects / Well that’s the same thing except the subject probably has reflexive awarenss . Dont you think primates sand canines have that? Personality? Well there’s a good EvoDevo guestion. I guess I would say that a lot of personality is learning, culture AND the capacity for what is inherited (i.e.genetic). Dismiss that with the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesiis (which I’m sure you know() Again that’s cultural in refers to the inherited capacity of language. Self responding to another self. That’s the most interesting thing and probably the most relevant to GT or any other kind of therapy. How I respond to The Other (my goodness they have conferencs about that) is complex and may or not be reciprocal. First ?is a con specific? is it male or female? Is it some on I know (i.e. a social partner?) from then on its a Go-Null-Nogo. It is easy to make that look like a computer program - but that is hugely misleading. All - most are specific brain modules and have likely evolved separetly. UNLESS UNLESS you perfer to think of the brain as a general purpose computer —— made of meat, of course.
