All of the comments about teeth prompt me to mention that I have
exceptionally strong teeth, and when I finally went to a dentist for the
first time since I was seven, I had no cavities. I have never brushed
regularly, and the tartar buildup was nothing short of incredible, but no
cavities.
I have not been formally diagnosed as a celiac, although I have been told I
have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, a hiatal (sp?) hernia, thyroid problems (even
though the tests came up negative), and myriad other maladies. My mother
finally figured out that eating wheat caused her problems, and I decided to
try the GF diet since we had similar problems. Lo and behold, I am cured!
I get so sick when I have gluten that the mere thought of eating something
containing gluten is enough to nauseate me. Doctors remain skeptical, but
not me. I have never felt better in my life.
Would there be any benefit at this point for me to seek a formal diagnosis?
