In Lifeline (CSA/USA) 3/90 issue a lady wrote in that she was making a
trip and using the hotel shampoo. her diet was ok but she got her usual
reactions to gluten. When reading the label it was discovered that wheat
germ oil was a major ingrediant. When she stopped using the shampoo her
symptoms went away. That article also cautions denture adhesive users to
check the ingrediants. In Lifeline Summer 1991 there is a brief note
about celiacs that are also skin sensitive to gluten containing
products. Noted were Maybelline products, including Cover Girl and
Moisture Wear, that contained oat flour. I guess the bottom line is to
read the label and to contact the manufacturer with any questions.
