In case anyone else but me doesn't know what Sjogren's Syndrome is,
I quote from the Merck Manual...
"A chronic, systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology,
characterized by dryness of the mouth, eyes, and other mucuous
membranes and frequently associated with rheumatic disorders
sharing certain autoimmune characteristics (e.g., RA, scleroderma,
and SLE) and in which lymphocyte infiltration into affected tissues
is seen...The syndrome occurs most often in women over age 40;
prevalence is about 1 in 2000 persons."
Nowhere in the two-page description of the symptoms, diagnosis,
prognosis and treatment of Sjogren's Syndrome is celiac disease
or gluten intolerance mentioned.
