I couldn't find cocomide dea in my Merck index, but sodium laurel sulfate
is a detergent, and emulsifies (dissolves, sort of) fats and probably waxes.
If you can't find/afford this stuff dishwashing detergent, a brush, and
warm (not cold) water will probably get most of the coating off. At
least, I hope so, since this is what I do.
