I just purchased an antioxidant from a health-food store, called "BIOGUARD".
The label reads: "Bioguard is composed entirely of hydroponically grown
wheat sprouts. Hypoallergenically free of wheat gluten and yeast."
Is this possible? I was also curious about the absence of something like
alfalfa sprouts from the no-no list. Isn't alfalfa a grass? Is the gluten
only in the seed, not in the green part after the seed has sprouted?
I would appreciate email directly to me, as I get the digest. If the label
is mistaken, I'd like an authoritative response to take back to the
store--this is an expensive product!
