If Vivarin is a US food item, the FDA defines starch as being corn starch.

If Vivarin is medication, the FDA does not have a standard for starch and you
must contact the supplier.  It can be almost any starch. ie: wheat or corn.

I assume that Vivarin is not a non US product, in which case you would need to
contact the overseas supplier.  The FDA states that it must comply with US
labeling rules, but they admit trouble in checking all products, ie: Japanese.
If you get sick after eating it, a formal complaint to the FDA will speed up
action on the product and stop US sales.  But that is a little late for your
physical health.

Someone else, may have the actual information on Vivarin, this posting is meant
to define "starch" in US terms.
