You'll have to run it through an OCR program If you have recent versions of
Openbook or Kersweil, I believe both accept pdf input files.
Some other ocr programs won't do pdf so you may have to find a way to
convert the pdf to some other graphic format like jpg which your ocr will
read.
You could look on your print menu for "print to file" and see what options
are available.
