-> Does anyone know if the Proctor & Gamble company who produces Pringles
-> potato chips has changed their recipe in the states? I was ecstatic when I
-> realized I could still eat Pringles after being diagnosed as Celiac only to
-> have them change their recipe to include potato and/or wheat starch.
Pringles appear on the UK Coeliac Society's allowed Food List. I guess
this means that either the recipe is different over here (very likely),
or this is an example of where the UK and USA/Canada differ over what
is considered GF.
I have to admit at being surprised that there are such fundamental
differences in opinion over gluten content of quite a few foodstuffs.
I have a bottle of Heinz Ploughman's Pickle at home - it's on my
allowed Food List, yet ingredient number 1 is .... you guessed it,
spirit vinegar :-(
