I tuned all the bands looking for field day signals. Funny, even the FCC no longer considers CW necessary or useful these days but strike up a contest, and CW ops come out of the woodwork. Yes, I know, in the big contests, , there is a lot of computerized operations going on besides logging, that is, even software to copy the code. Yet, when it comes to FD, you will find lots of brass pounders and bugs still being used. I tuned all the bands and wished 15 and 10 were like the good old days but not much there this year. I noticed that cw ran from about 8 WPM to 35 but even the QRQ guys had to slow down to work the other signals on the band running slower speeds or QRS. The old original digital mode, ODM, still is the greatest in my book.
