People are probably trying to work VP8STI, South Thule Island, in the South
Sandwich Islands. This DXpedition will run for only a couple of more days,
and it is a very sought-after country in the South Atlantic, not far from
Antartica. I worked them on 20 and 15 meter phone. I don't think my antennas
and noise level are up to copying them on 80, but I was hearing them on 40.
Their transmit frequency was probably 3523.

Subject: Test or DX on 3529
Hi all!
Can anyone tell me what contest or DX pileup is causing the mess I heard on
3529 around 6:45 central time Saturday night?
I was one of the users on W0ZSW then and heard lots of calls, but couldn't
figure out what the occasion was, because I only heard calls. Never heard
anyone calling CQ nor was a station called.
