I just saw that Chick-fil-A has introduced gluten-free buns nation-wide
(https://www.chick-fil-a.com/News/Chick-fil-A-Introduces-New-Gluten-Free-Bun
) . (If the link doesn't work, just search Chick-fil-A and gluten free
bun.) It's progress, but sort of good-news-bad-news. The buns cost $1.15
extra, and you get the bun in a wrapper alongside the rest of the
ingredients to avoid cross contamination. You have to assemble it yourself.

Their GF menu
(https://thechickenwire.chick-fil-a.com/Inside-Chick-fil-A/2017/06/19/Whats-
Gluten-Free-at-Chick-fil-A) has the standard disclaimer saying they can't
guarantee anything is GF: "For guests who wish to minimize their gluten
intake, here is a list of additional menu items offered at Chick-fil-A. (The
fine print: Due to the handcrafted nature of our food, variations in our
supplier ingredients and our use of shared cooking and preparation areas, we
cannot ensure that our restaurant environment or any menu item will be
completely free of gluten.)" This does not exactly invite celiacs into their
restaurants. Plus the GF menu is pretty limited (hope you are OK with
sausage, bacon, and hash browns for breakfast: no eggs on the GF list).

Something to watch out for in the buns is that they have quinoa in them.
Some, like me, may be very sensitive to the saponins in quinoa and may
experience a celiac-like reaction. (Although I applaud their use of healthy
grains such as teff and buckwheat, in the buns; I just wish they had left
off the quinoa).

We don't have any Chick-fil-A restaurants near us, but we might eat there
when traveling, so I'm interested in what experiences others have had there.
So, do you eat at Chick-fil-a? Do you like it? Have you had a reaction or
had a problem with cross contamination? Have they been willing to take care
with your order to avoid CC? If you've tried the bun, how was it? How was
the experience of putting it together? I'll summarize answers.
