Michael, good idea about the MP3.  Maybe I'll make one, and it could be a 
rehearsal for a youtube video.

Solid approach, as outside of Kenwood , non of the amateur radio makers have 
hit it out of the park with regards to accessiblity.Â
That said, that didn't stop folks from liking Icom or Yaesu, like me. LOL I 
have actually forgotten Flex, so would you mind recording an MP3 of how your 
software works and how JFW sounds while interacting? Perhaps you could give 
a run down of the PC doing the controlling, windows platform, JFW version 
etc.
I am considering the FT-991 because I'm getting interested in the WIRES X 
system which a local club has a repeater for.  They have given up on dStar 
and returned the equipment and gone WIRES. I would also like to start 
communicating with the states and globally via WIRES moving away from the 
local 2M FM bores.LOL
