There is no voice read out on those radios. As far as I know, there never
has been or will be on any motorola radios. Many can be made to be useable
but I don't know about any of the dmr ones. Being commercial though, likely
you can make it so you can use it to some degree.

Subject: DMR Mobile/Base Station

Hi all in the new year I am thinking about trying out some DMR repeaters in=
the area. I would like a mobile/base station setup. I haven't found much i=
nfo but I did read on Motorola's site about a feature voice on their XPR 55=
/30 and 5550 models. Does anyone know if that has anything to do with spoke=
n channel/frequency readout? If so does it require a separate add-in board?=
=20
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Frank
