Thanks to all who replied re possible connection between trace edema in the ankles and peripheral neuropathy in the toes, and whether people had experience with Metanx (a high potency vitamin B complex).
General consensus on the potential seriousness of the edema symptom: Have MD check heart, blood pressure, circulation, ovarian cancer, diabetes, hypothyroidism. Someone had success with a sublingual Vitamin B12, cobalamin 100mcg with B6 and Folic acid 800 mcg, obtained at a "natural" vitamin store, ostensibly without prescription and better absorbed for people with leaky gut. Also recommended vitamin B6 no more than 100 mg.
Thanks to everyone.
