Hi, everyone.

Well, after a great Thanksgiving family dinner, at which I ate way too much,
I came back home, and did some further testing of my RS35 power supply with
my TS590, and think I have further confirmed a problem with at least two of
the transistors in the supply.

At the suggestion of Pat, Butch, and possibly others, I connected my TS590
to a dummy load, and put it in transmit mode at 100 watts for about 3 to 4
minutes.

As you may know, there are four transistor sockets on the back of the
supply.

After several minutes at 100 watts into the dummy load, the two transistor
sockets on the left-hand side of the supply were rather cool, with the
bottom one being the coolest.

However, the two transistor sockets on the right-hand side of the supply
were almost too hot to touch. To me, this does indicate that there is
something going wrong with the transistors, in that I would think they
should all feel equally hot or cold to the touch.

Would anyone want to comment on exactly what this might mean, in terms of
which transistors might be failing?

It would seem to me that the ones that were almost too hot to touch would be
the problematic ones, but I'm obviously not an expert on this kind of thing,
so thanks as always for your patience.
