Subject: AI New 100 foot range Wireless 104 style Keyboard for use with
Screen Readers!

Hi all,

Got the following from another list and thought some might be
interested.

Pranav
>
> Casco Products International has produced an RF Wireless standard
>Computer Keyboard specifically for blind users that has an advertised
>and
>guaranteed range of 100 feet or 30.5 meters. This is ideal for
>operating
>your computer remotely from any room in the house, the garage, the
>patio,
>the neighbors house, or wherever you'd like to go within 100 feet or
>30.5
>meters of the receiver that plugs into your computer's keyboard port.
>I've
>seen and sold some great wireless keyboards but usually there is no
>numeric
>keypad on them. I've been selling a great keyboard from Casco Products
>International for a year but again with no numeric keyboard. They all
>work
>fine with screen readers but are a little awkward to operate without a
>numeric keypad. Well the Snowman's been working behind the scenes with
>Casco to come up with an RF wireless computer keyboard with decent
>range and
>a numeric keypad suitable for use with screen readers such as Window
>Eyes,
>JAWS, HAL, and Window Bridge. After a few tries at prototypes the
>Snowman
>gave his approval and now the keyboard is in production and just this
>week
>it's in stock. You can read a little more about it at
>http://www.ChirpingBat.Com/rfkeyboard.shtml. It's available through BA
>Software for $130 which includes shipping in the United States and $165
>Internationally.
> You can place an order by calling BA Software in the United States
>at
>1-518-359-8538 or Casco Products International in the United States at
>1-319-393-6960. Casco is the largest provider of set top boxes for
>televisions in the world. If you call Casco you can ask for the model
>ACK240RF but get this! If you ask for the blind keyboard they'll know
>what
>you're talking about.
