This is Howard, both Tom and I had the same problem.
With the ts590 and tmv71 hooked up to the same supply, the tmv71 would beap
twice and fail to transmit on high power.
I tightened the ground termonal on the ground side of my supply, and the
problem is gone, hopefully.

tmv-71A?
btw guys I've made a braille menu for the radio, talking about all the menus
and their settings, so you don't have to hunt and peck around like I did b4
I made them to find, x, y, and z. :) let alone A, B, or C. :)
