How many of you went to school with books from RFB, and when you speeded up
the tape, you speeded up the pitch.
I could almost do double speed, but had to be a bit under.
When the variable speed circuits blew up in the soni 105 machines, I
increased the circumference of the capstin with electrical tape. Had to
make that very smooth.

Speaking of voices and faster. I think it is in the 590 and perhaps the
tmv-71, when you speed up the voice, it talks like donald duck, like playing
a 33 record on 45. They finally got it right in the 990, for what that
radio costs, they sure should have. The 990 has a jack in the back and you
can wire up a keypad or switch box and have eight additional functions,
really neat.
I wish all of you cuould afford a 990.
