Okay boys and girls, rather than listen to the end of that disaster in
Denver, I disconnected the ts-590 from the power supply.

The problem went away. Now why and what to do?

The problem stayed with the 590 turned off, and was still there when I
disconnected the power cord from the ts-590.

I had to physically disconnect the wires from the 590 for the problem to go
away.

Head in hands, rench on floor.
