Some mighty big signals on 40 meters tonight in the contest including many
Europeans on my wire at 35 feet. Heard 15 meter phone activity, including
several Japanese signals, about 2 hours after the contest started.
Saturday, tomorrow, should prove interesting since 10 meters was open to
various areas the last couple of days. We have thunder storms and snow
storms over the mountains that are creating a lot of lightning and snow
static on 80 meters but it is early yet for us on that band. Heard a W5
calling CQ contest on 160 sideband and I only have a G5RV at 35 feet.

Phil.
