Hi Frank,
Steve didn't mention, but there is a hand or desk mike that has extra PF 
keys on them as well and there are other functions that you can use on these

Yes, the pound key on the number pad.   The same key you would press to=20
enter a frequency from the keypad.    When you press it the first time,=20
it is expecting you to enter a frequency.  When you hit it the second time,=
it aborts the entry process and speaks the current frequency.

If you set the pf key to the other voice setting, it will read=20
frequency, but  you have no other way to get the s meter reading.    If=20
you set the pf key to read s meter, you have another option to read frequen=
cy (mentioned above).
