Subject: Sandy report on Wednesday

Sandy  had her family doctor’s appointment today.  She still is, of course, in a lot of pain but she is getting around with her walker much better each day.  The physical therapist came for the second time and put her through some paces today and she did great.  All that work wore her out though.  Our two kids that live in Denver have been a big help because due to my back situation, there are just some things I can no longer do and especially anything that calls for much bending.  There was, and is, a lot of swelling with knee surgery such as this so she is using ice on it several times throughout the day and night.  I set an alarm to get up for her pain medications and to help her to the bath room, if needed, about 4 o’clock in the morning, but she has been sleeping pretty well for the most part.  Well, these reports will be pretty much the same for awhile as she continues to improve.
