I don't know about all icom radios but I know some Icom radios you can set 
the scan stop beep separate from the other beeps. I wish other manufacturers 
would jump on that band wagon. I don't know if all Icom radios will do that 
but I know the few I have had over the years would do it including my 
IC-T90A which I no longer have batteries for.
