About 20 minutes before I was to begin operating, we had, would you
believe, a power failure.

I called the guy who is coordinating the event, and told him somebody
got carried away with this commemoration business.

The power was off for an hour, but during the real thing, my house was
without power for 8 days, beginning at about 1:30 PM on August 29, 2005.

I ran from 01:00 - 02:15.

Most interesting qso was with K9QV, who was camping, and had to qrt to
tend to his camp fire. His KX3 was pounding in from Indiana.

In addition to Tom, I also worked Matt, KA0PQW, who was qrp.

Either Kathleen or I will be on again sometime over the weekend. I will
post the details as soon as I know when and where.
