Just practice good soldering techniques and keep the heat to the minimum and you should be fine.

Hi all, I have a question about Motorola radios that have the crystals
actually soddered into the PC board. I found out this week that the
Expo's crystals which is the radio I have is soddered into the circuit
boardand I am wondering if anyone has had trouble or any techniques on how
to install and remove these easily? If I had known that this radio's
crystals would have been a little tricky to remove i probably would have
waited until I could get my hands on an HT-600 or MT-1000 or HT-1000. Any
information would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.
