I had a look at hamlink some years ago but never installed it due to
other priorities.
Had a long CW qso with (I think) w4an on this subject some year or so
back and he controls his station on the hills behind the town from his
town shack.
I think he mentioned that a VE3 was using a similar system but I can't
recall who.
If you are only wanting to control a station a few hundred metres away
then you could consider using a pair of networked PC's using bespoke
software.
The other thought which comes to mind which I haven't investigated, is
using a pair of PCs using PC Anywhere or a similar package.
The down side of these last would be the exclusion of SSB as no audio
feedback exists.
