Talk about wackamo! Well, see the reply I sent to Tom for a bit more
information. Yes, I have tried this with the "Key Loop Switch" set to "on"
(left position, looking at rear of 1306). For fun, I also tried it in the
"off" position which means use the 1306-to-TS-2000 interface cable, but that
did not work either. With the switch in either position, though, the relay
is working because when I press PTT the 1306 keys.

What happens? does the amp trip off (go into protection mode)?
You connected the RCA cables to the tuner, but did you also set the switch
to enable this in the amp?
It works here, but I don't have that amp. Truth be told, most of the time I
just flip the bypass switch for a tune, but sometimes I forget and the
relay in the tuner works like it should.
