These software packages are somewhat possible to use. SDR# for example is able to be used with a screen reader, but you really need to be an advanced screen reader user, and extremely comfortable with your jaws cursor, OCR commands, tabbing a few times without feedback to skip over controls, etc. etc.

In short, it's not pleasant by any means, but it is doable.

I tend to play with SDR in code e.g. I write python code to actuate the radio. The other thing that I tend to use are the commandline tools like rtlfm and such for tuning in fm sttaions or doing quick radio sweaps, etc.

Subject: blind friendly SDR software for windows?

Hello everyone,
I am trying (and it seems failing) to find any SDR software that I can =
use with jaws. I have tried both SDR# and HDSDR. SDR# won't even allow =
me to input the keystrokes required to get it installed. HDSDR has an =
interface that requires the use of the invisible cursor and is not very =
accessible for making changes.

ANyone have any other suggestions?
