The beep would indicate the first tone on the list...67HZ or something. SO
you could set the knob to where you hear the beep and count that as tone 1
or tone zero depending upon how the list is numbered.
IE if the list is numbered 1 through 39 then the beep would be tone 1 and
you could count from there.

Steve and all, OK I am going to try this again. I'm a little confused as to=
how to select a PL Tone on my THF6a. Here is what I am trying:
1. I Press the A function button
2. I press the 7 button
3. I turn the tuning knob counter clockwise until I get the beep
OK here is where I am confused. Is that beep tone 0 or 1? So in other words=
once I get that tone if I want tone 24 do I turn the knob clockwise 23 or =
24 clicks?
