The Yaesu FT-450 and 450D has speech built in. You press the F plus CS 
buttons and the speech announces either S9, frequency and mode or just 
Frequency and mode, depending on how you got it set up in the menu, sited 
assistance required for this. When in split mode, the RX and TX freqs are 
announced. Once you have everything setup, the FT-450 is a pretty nice 
little radio. Also, there's another little trick, in the menu, there's an 
item called SET/dial and you can use this to set the dile to access a quick 
menu item by pressing the select knob, when your not using the contor etc. 
I used to have this set to access the TX power adjustment in the menu.
