Wow, I've really got some updateing to do here, since I still have version
4.6 on my logging laptop.

Alan,

The short answer is no, you do not have to install a previous release in
order to install the latest one.

The latest version is 5.2.

Open the Amateur Contact Log link on his website, and you will see the
instructions for upgrading.

Note that the instructions are different for versions below 4.0.
