Hi, Ron:
I think if you throw an eye phone from across the room hard enough
with enough accuracy, you can make the TS 2000 turn off. (humor...)

Ron, you might check out the following:
commcat - http://www.commcat.com/
RemoteShack - http://www.remoteshack.com/
I didn't find the remote shack site particularly blind friendly, but
supposedly their tech support is great.
I found these with a google search, so there well may be more stuff out
there you can find.

Can the TS-2000 be controlled by an iPhone? I have a blind friend who wants
to be able to control his TS-2000 with his iPhone. I told him if it could be
done, someone on this list would most likely know how.
