Great Lowell.   Look forward to hearing  how it goes for you.

I did mention that I went with a G-800 Yaesu rotor.    The G-450  is 
cheaper and also has the provision to feel the pointer.   I think the 
antenna builders will tell you the 450 is  enough rotor to handle the 
Hex.  I also think Mike KD2CDU  from this list is using a 450 with his 
Hex.    The main reason I went with the more expensive G-800 is  for 
easy plug in of pc control  later on.   I don't think the 450 has the 
din for pc control and would need some  work done on the control box. 
If my memory is correct on this, and you aren't interested in pc 
control, the 450  would do well.
