Good luck with that move, Phil. Your logic seems sound to me. I'm in the
same position here with retirement and I've been stuck at Jaws 11 for some
time now. I've started playing with NVDA and I'm delighted with how well it
does. I am using the Nuance Vocalizer voices with it that work quite well.
i'm operating mostly on an 8-year-old laptop which could die any day.
As far as audio editors go, you seem to have several choices on the mac
including Amadeus. There's a good book onn using it with voiceover written
by Jonathan Mosen.Not certain but believe his web site is at:
