As Steve mentioned, it's the Straight Key Century Club. It was formed in
2006 to basically extend straight key night, 0000Z through 2359Z on January
1st, to the whole year. Contacts need to be made using a manual means of
sending CW, (i.e.) straight keys, bugs and the like. There are monthly
sprints, one over a weekend and one two-hour sprint. Members attain
membership levels by working other SKCC members. These levels have Roman
names, Centurion, Tribune, and Senators.

Subject: Query on CW Designation

Hi, Folks. I was tuning around on 20 meters when I heard a CQ,
followed by SKCC, then the usual "de" and the callsign. Anyone know
what skcc means? Thanks.--Matt, N1IBB.
