Yeah, it was just pilot error on my part.     You can also turn off the 
vox so it won't key.   I was just kind of half playing around and 
should have realized   what I was doing.
Good luck with the antenna install.  I may just do what I've done the 
past few years and run the home station at 5 watts off a battery  for FD.
