In the text from the manual that Jim posted, looks like you  need to 
enter in  a frequency as part of the process.   Maybe to cover the whole 
2 meter band, you would need to  redo the process and  cover the band in 
chunks?

For a long time I thought a transverter was a Drake that wanted to dress 
like a Swan.
