Ron and all:

That worked!!!

I guess I didn't fully realize that you actually had to be on the web site
itself.

The interesting thing too is that when on the web site, it first didn't read
the content in English, even though language change detect was unchecked.

I had to check and uncheck it, and then hit ok, and then, it worked!

Now, I'll be able to check out the web site for all it has to offer.

Seems like there's lots of interesting stuff on there, especially for people
like me who are always looking for new antenna ideas for the RV camp site.

Thanks to all for your patience as I sorted this problem out.

Tom, if you go to that website, and then, while you are still on the site,
you should be able to go to your configuration file and make the change; go
to

Insert V and then, type in the word language and arrow down twice to the
language detect change option and uncheck it. Then, hit your tab key to the
OK and hit return on the OK, and that should do it.

Let me know if that works.

	Ron and all:

Well, apparently, I'm not as lucky as you have been with this problem.

Regardless of whether I check or un-check the language detect change option,
My Jaws 14 still reads the web site in German or whatever it is.

My primary and secondary language recognition options are English as well.

Very strange.

OK, thanks to this great list, my problem was very easily fixed. I did as
you suggested and went into JAWS and changed that one setting, and that
solved the problem.

This was ham related because now I can read the ham related website that I
could not read before!!

73 to all,
Ron, K8HSY

Hi:
You can view the site in English with JAWS by unchecking the language =
detect change setting. The easiest way to access this setting is to = press
insert v, type in language and press enter to show the search = results. The
setting you want to change should be the third one in the = list.
Hope this helps.
