Menus 13 through 16 adjust various volumes and the speed of the synthesizer.
I can send you the menu section out of the manual.
The side tonepitch will match the cw offset, so if the station you are
talking to and your sidetone are at the same pitch, you are on their
frequency.
The default is high. If you get used to a lower pitch, it is easier to
differenciate signals.
If you are listening to a signal at 800 HZ, and there is a signal at 750 HZ
away, the difference is 7 per cent. If that signal is at 400 HZ, and the
other one is at 350 HZ, the difference is 14 per cent, easier to separate in
your head.

Subject: Thanks and a Question

Hi, Folks. First, I'd like to say thanks to all of you who answered my
question about getting CW to work on my TS480SAT.

Second, I need to turn down the volume of my side tone; it's driving my YL
nuts. What menu preset do i use and how do I change the volume? I want to
be able to change it from the radio without having to plug in my computer.
Thanks in advance.--Matt, N1IBB.

P.S. What nets are you guys on over the weekends?
